After losing her house to Hurricane Ivan, Katharina Meyer was faced with rebuilding from scratch. Frustrated with the building methods of the local area, she contacted lbds wanting to take an innovative approach. What I designed for her is a building that will resist tidal waves, hurricane winds as well as the heat of the tropical climate with minimal to no energy costs.
